On 30 November 2017, De Liefde Club held Christmas Luncheon at ‘Rotisserie L’écrin’ in Ginza. The modern French restaurant in the long-time popular area was completely full with 56 ladies. After Mrs. Ayako Tawara, the representative governor, gave the opening remarks, Mrs. Sari Roels, the wife of the Minister, proposed a toast. 10 new members introduced themselves, and all the participants enjoyed talking over creative healthy French cuisine. We also had an exciting time in shopping at the colorful bazaar table, filled with cute handicrafts, delicious wine, local products from Iwate Prefecture, and so on. The proceeds will be used to send some presents to the children of Oranda-jima House in Yamada-machi on Christmas and other occasions. As the closing, we sang familiar Christmas songs in Dutch, English, and Japanese in high spirit.
