On Wednesday, 25 October 2017, 9 participants including 2 Dutch ladies visited Asakura Museum of Sculpture in Nippori, which was Fumio Asakura’s former residence and atelier, with guidance in English. They held the special exhibition of the statues of his cats for its 50th anniversary from the opening. Then we strolled in Yanaka area with many temples to discover the old tiny sweet shop “Mikado-pan” under the enormous Himalayan cedar, which is the symbolic spot of the area. We enjoyed the autumn of art just after the rain.
