We invited Prof. Frederik Cryns from the International Research Center for Japanese Studies to hold the online lecture. Prof. Cryns explained in details of the Great Fire of Meireki, which the head of the Dutch Trading Post Mr. Wargenaer experienced in Edo (Tokyo), showing the valuable materials. XX people participated in this event and gave us many positive feedbacks, such as “It was amazing to learn the details of the Great Fire of Meireki from the detailed records by non-Japanese.
