On Tuesday, November 18, we welcomed Mr. Marc Kuipers, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Osaka and Commissioner General for Netherlands at Expo 2025, to give an online lecture. With the Expo having just closed, over 100 people from the Netherlands and Japan attended the lecture. Mr. Kuipers gave a detailed explanation of the 184 days of activities at the Netherlands Pavilion, starting with the three years preparation period. He introduced the visit of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, new business connections, various cultural exchanges, and the characteristics of the pavilion as a sustainable and environmentally friendly building. He also expressed his hope for preserving the large roof ring as a monument of EXPO. It was a very valuable lecture in which Mr. Kuipers' passion for the Expo to continue to function as a common platform for the world in these challenging times was conveyed to the participants. This event was held for the first time in collaboration with the Nederlands-Japanse Vereniging (NJV), and Mr. Ton van Zeeland from the secretariat offered us a greeting.
