Would you like to join gDe Liefde Clubh ?

De Liefde Club was organized and started in June 1998, as a ladies division of "The Japan-Netherlands Society". The name gDe Liefdeh was taken from the first Dutch ship that cast away on the coast of Usuki Bay, Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan in 1600. It was chosen by Mme. van Nouhuys, former Netherlands Ambassador's wife and was the first Honorary Governor of this club.

We are aiming at the promotion of the friendship and mutual understanding between the two nations who are living or working in Japan, especially in and around Tokyo.

There are four or five meetings in a year, coffee morning at the Royal Netherlands Embassy, for example, or Christmas luncheon or visiting at traditional places in Japan.

With your cooperation we wish constant development of De Liefde Club for our
bright future in the 21st Century.
