2019 JNS Annual General Meeting and Reception were held on Tuesday, 14 May at Hotel Okura Tokyo. The meeting was attended by the presence of our Honorary President His Excellency Mr. Aart Jacobi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Japan.
After the General Meeting, a reception was held, graced with the presence of our Honorary Patron, Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino. The reception started with “Kagamibiraki” to celebrate the new era “Reiwa”. As the representatives of the JNS, Ambassador Jacobi, President Mr. Komori, Vice president Mr. Oyagi and Vice President Mr. Eijsink opened the Sake barrel in time with shouts of “Yoisho, Yoisho, Yoisho!” Then Mr. Eijsink made a toast, which was followed by the introduction of the new members. Participants enjoyed conversation and strengthened friendship among the members, while tasting the delicious food of Hotel Okura.
