On Sunday, October 21, we took a trip to Yokosuka port town. It was a beautiful autumn day. After watching modern paintings and works of Rokuro Taniuchi (an illustrator who produced a series of cover pages of the weekly magazine Shincyo in the Showa period), we had a fresh sashimi set meal. Then, we visited the memorial warship Mikasa, and joined the popular naval port cruise tour.
Although the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier was not anchored, we could see the SDF escort vessel Izumo from a short distance. We really enjoyed the one-day trip to Yokosuka in fine weather.
