On Tuesday, 1 November at the Conference Hall of the FUJIFILM Head Office, we hosted a lecture by H.E. Ambassador Mr. Aart Jacobi, entitled “The EU, challenged as never before”. We had 53 participants. The presentation started from the expansion of the EU from 6 to 28 nations. Then, we were delighted to learn plenty of information with slides and a video projected on a screen, about the difficulties such as its economical and migration challenges and its future vision despite the Brexit vote. We are grateful for the opportunity to deepen our knowledge on the current issues facing the EU, from the viewpoint of the Netherlands, the original member of the EC. Judging by the lively question and answer session that followed the presentation, we have no doubt that all audience members found the lecture truly rewarding.
