On 26 October (Mon), JNS hosted a lecture by Mr. Yoshiyuki Kawazoe, architect, Associate Professor of the University of Tokyo and Chairman of the Japan and Netherlands Architecture Cultural Association, at a meeting room of FUJIFILM Head Office. The theme of the lecture was “Japanese Architecture and Dutch Design from Architect’s View”. Using various pictures such as houses in an island of Okinawa or a townscape of the Netherlands, Mr. Kawazoe explained the characters of the architecture of Japan and the Netherlands, and disclosed that unique designs of the locations are hidden in the shape of houses, landscape of the nature, and daily life. The participants enjoyed the reception after the lecture by asking questions to Mr. Kawazoe and communicating each other in a lively and comfortable atmosphere.
